Default Removing data from the persistent store when removing application from handheld

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to overwrite/erase the data stored in the persistent store by my application when I remove the application from the handheld or when I install a new version of the application?

Default Me too

I'm curious about this too. On one hand I would think the OS might clean up orphaned Persistent Stores when they don't have an app making use of them, but then on the other hand you wouldn't want that to happen if you were just temporarily uninstalling. If there is no auto-clean up mechanism, I would think there would be some BB coding best-practices document somewhere telling you to clean up your own persistent memory when you uninstall.

Hmmm

Anyone?

there is a way of doing it. can't remember it. your persistent objects have to inherit something or other to get removed when the app does.

basically the store acts as it should do and you have to do something a bit fiddly to get it to act as we'd all expect. there is more info on the bberry site hidden away somewhere, search their forum too, this issue has come up many times.
