My GPS works nicely.

Go to Options > Advanced > GPS > Menu > Refresh. Let the satellites refresh. Be outside in an open area with no tall buildings around. Give it up to 10 minutes, and you should get a nice fresh satellite reading.

Now, go try ATT Nav or Yahoo Go.

GPS works great, even faster (ATT Nav) with this software update.

Hi returned to the land of blackberry after a 3 year absence. Thought I'd try this OS out.

It seemed to go well. I got the java error when launching telenav - this was fixed by ensuring the doc2go was checked when doing the upgrade.

One thing I do have is HTML emails, picutes and all, having browsed this forum I was surprised as I thought this wasn't yet possible.

Is T-Mobile UK ahead of the game for once!!!

Cheers

Yes, it's possible. RIM isn't upgrading the NA servers until June 27th and then it is up to the carriers here to release v4.5 and upgrade their own servers.

On my 2nd day with it now
No real issues except the browser bug where I can not click on some buttons or type in text to some password boxes. (Fixed with option from previous posts)

The main thing I am having trouble with now is Youtube

Its no big deal, but I cant understand why its not working when obviously others seem to be able to use it without problems?

At first I thought it was due to me being on GPRS and not EDGE, but have tried it in strong EDGE coverage also and still nothing
I click a video to play, Media Player opens up and says Loading.. in green in top right corner. Then I can see the send and receive arrows in top corner and after about 10-15 seconds, I get a red message in top right saying Error Playing and a popup box that says "An error has occurred attempting to play media"

Any ideas on this one??

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 8300 Curve)

Hi. Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, I am going to m.youtube.com. In fact when I typed in youtube.com the browser automatically routes me to the mobile site

Browser > Options > General Properties > Internet browser?

At Browser > Options > Browser Configuration, I have all boxes checked, and set to Internet Browser there.

Has anyone put in a 6gb or 8gb microSDHC card in their 8310 with v4.05.52 yet? I just ordered one from the Amazon Marketplace for about $43 after shipping and am looking forward to using it.

Just ticked them all and saved. Gonna try it again now
By the way, is your browser set as Blackberry under emulation mode?

Well I tried that and left as Blackberry in emulation and my error disappeared but it still won't play!!! It just sits there like its downloading for a while and then eventually the send/receive arrows stop and that's it. :(

Well, I just tested it again. Youtube has worked fine for me with several of the past OS 4.5 beta releases, now it is not.

Same errors here now. I don't know.

Oh! Hmmm. Is it appropriate at this point for me to say I'm delighted it's not working for you either!!! LOL

Default Internal GPS removed????

I went through the BlackBerry.alx file and the LBS.alx files according to the instructions to free up memory. Then I started DM and began to update the OS. When I checked the applications to be removed I saw that "internal GPS" was listed. There was no box to check for GPS. Maybe it is somewhere in one of the .alx files???

That made me chicken out of going ahead with it so I stopped until I am sure.

Will my Google Maps work after the upgrade when it gave me the above message? The .cod file for the gps is present in the java directory so I do not know what else to do. Have I missed something?
