Is there anyway around the need to unlock the device to use Voice Dialing? I have place call enabled while locked which has direct access to contacts so you would think voice dialing would function the same way but it does not??

You'd think, wouldn't you. (That voice dial would be a phone app function and accessible via the phone app, even when BB locked). But no.

If you are on a BES the admin has the option to disable voice dialing...I personally do not choose that option to give my users the flexibility to use it if they'd like.

You may want to check with your admin...if you have one.

I do not have Voice Dialling disabled. It is just not usable when BB is locked, even if 'calling when locked' is enabled.
Are you saying that my BES admin can do something that will enable the Voice Dialling function to work when the BB is locked, without entering my password? (I.e. from within the phone app - which is the only app that is allowed to work while the BB is locked, without entering the password.)

I am sorry...I mis-understood your original post. The BES Admin can only enable or disable the voice dialing, not by lock screen or whatever. Yes, I think you have to unlock to use it.
