I purchased IM+ a couple of months back. I have had nothing but superb support from them. I have needed new keys in the past and I would send an email and get the new key the next day.

Wow, impressive, it's downright annoying going on over a week with no ICQ on this thing which was the main reason for buying it, Verichat doesn't seem to ever reconnect after the first time and Webmessenger never worked right but it looks like IM+ would work right, now if I could just get them to return an email.

Oh yeah, I bought IM+. It was the second best BlackBerry application I've purchased (Reqwireless WebViewer takes the cake). I've had good experiences with the support people, and the software itself is really great. I used to run Verichat, but I didn't like the interface.

A++

http://wireless.sra.com/ramble/ try Ramble IM for free.. I had the trial IM+ for a couple of days while searching for something free.. found this on other posts. Looks a lot like regular desktop IM. Neat feature is ramble can run in the background and will put new messages 'on top' of other apps running.

I'll check out the Ramble but I really just need ICQ, don't use any of the others, also Verichat worked for 1 day then didn't work the next prompting hard reboots each time to get it functioning again, I got the key finally from IM+ but their software doesn't even alphabetazie the contacts or at least I haven't figure out how, very tough to use

Ramble is not a substitute for any of the other IMs out there since it only supports AIM most people use MSN or ICQ or Yahoo. I like the new verichat I have had the oppisite keeping it from connecting while I am at home I forget to turn it off and sign on at home then the BB will sign back on right after.

Have you tried Quick IM (www.quickim.com)? It's easy to use and they claim that "QuickIM is VERY data bandwidth friendly! This is because as opposed to most other messengers (free or paid) that are proxy based, QuickIM uses direct socket method to connect to instant messaging servers, and doesn't need to poll the server for new information every few seconds, instead it sends/receives data only when there is truly a message to send/receive."

Has it occured to you guys that AOL IM is the same as ICQ?

I bet you can login with Ramble via your ICQ ID.
