Default Just got my Blackberry 7520, Need some help

Please Login to Remove!

I was referred to this site by a friend. I need some help with my Blackberry 7520 and the Nextel salesguys don't seem to know much about it. I am having some issues:

1. How do I transfer my contacts into the Blackberry 7520? I am using an i860 right now, and I backed up my phonebook on Iden Phonebook Manager and I transferred the contacts over to the 32K sim that the 7520 uses, but no contacts come up.

2. How do I sync with Microsoft Outlook? I am using Outlook 2002. I am not connected to an exchange server, I have just one computer for my business. It keeps saying that my computer does not know my e-mail. I am using XP Pro.

I installed the software that came with the Blackberry, but nothing will work with it. I just want to start using this thing and my Bluetooth headset. Thanks for all the help!

1. It's my understanding you do not. I had to manually enter my DC numbers, but that's it. Everything else came from Outlook. I *THINK* someone was able to do it via Nextel's online address book.

2. Download the Desktop software or use the CD that came with your BB. The sync feature is in there. You choose what you want to sync up. My contacts, notes, calender and tasks came over to the BB in a jiffy!!

The SIM card that was in my 7520 looked very similar to my old i85s and quite different from the yellow SIM card that was in my old i730, so I don't believe the cards can be exchanged from the two devices, hence why you're not getting anything to appear.

I do know the Nextel address book is an additional service (that costs extra, of course) that was available for the Motorola i-series phones. I'm not sure if it's available for the BB.

Just my observations.
