did the password keeper not come with the 4.0?

You may wan to check on the app loader through the desktop manager to make sure it is checked for installation.

I think it was an add on and not part of the default settings.

if you can get your hands on any 4.0 handheld software(there are tons of links to them in this forum-use the search button), and use the application loader to add passwordkeeper.alx from where the handheld code gets installed will work on your 7250 with no problems..

I had the same issue with my Nextel 7520... I did the following:

1. Download v4 handheld software from link I got in this thread: http://www.blackberryforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=1995

2. Installed handheld software.

3. Ran Desktop Manager

4. Password Keeper now an option, click & install! Woo-hoo!

Hopefully the same works for you... now, if I can only figure out a way to get the BB HTLM browser...

Okay, to follow up with my original post and expand on dzervit's message, follow these instructions for the password keeper install.

*If you do not have 4.0 installed* (On your BB go to Options/About to see your OS version)

1. Use this link to find your provider's OS and Desktop Manager download.

http://www.blackberryforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=1995

2. Install desktop manager 4.0.0.30 on your PC

3. Install the OS 4.0 .exe file you downloaded

4. Open the Desktop Manager.

5. Open the Application Loader

6. Follow the prompts until you see a window listing the applications to be installed (Handheld Application Selection). Any application without a check-mark in the box will not be installed.

7. Find the Password keeper (11 apps down on my list) and check that box

8. Follow the prompts and you're set.

*If you already are using OS 4.0*

1. Open the desktop manager.

2. Open the Application Loader

3. Follow the prompts until you see a window listing the applications to be installed (Handheld Application Selection). Any application without a check-mark in the box will not be installed.

4. Find the Password keeper (11 apps down on my list) and check that box

5. Follow the prompts and you're set.

Thanks for the tip. Worked like a charm.

One thing to note is that if you don't have a application listed in the tree it will attempt to remove it. I almost lost Webviewer but I just added it to the list and all was fine.
