Unhappy Quick question,

Please Login to Remove!

Shouldnt I have Desktop Manager 4 SP2 after purchasing the curve(my first BB) so wouldnt I be able to load the Application Loader just fine and get a list of all the apps I have on the phone? Well Im not getting the list like I should but my girlfriend gets hers just fine on her pearl and ive also tried my curve on her PC and nothing, it reads the same message underneath the list "The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have BlackBerry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator"

help!

You will NOT see the OS - or it's associated programs like Address Book - if you haven't installed the OS for your device from your provider (or hacked another OS for your device.

If that's the case, you'll only see third party apps that you've installed.

I dont quite understand, How do you install the OS? Are you talking about the Setup Wizard when you first get the phone or what?

You do not install the OS. It is installed when you get the phone. You can delete the .alx files and get the desktop software to re-install the software but that is it.

RIM has taken great care to keep people out of the OS and changing it.
