I have an issue with the Alt key in conjunction with any of the "Alt" characters, with this release. I now have to release the Alt key before it will allow me to type the character, as it won't let me hold the key and type the character at the same time...I will try reloading the OS once again to see if that fixes it. I can no longer reboot the BB by using the 3-key sequence...so something must be wrong.

Mine rebooted with 3 key sequence.
the picture preview is much faster at the moment and videos just popup like they should.

It wasn't the new OS - turns out the BB doesn't like being dropped in water...LOL

And btw, I still can't open any audio or video files through media player. I do believe that the database that stores file associations has gone wonky. But hell if I know which database that is...I tried restoring Code Module Group Properties from a past good backup, but that didn't work.
And yes, I've tried battery pulls, formatting the sd card, everything.
Ugh.

Have you tried a full install without optimizing the java folder? My guess is you might of deleted a necessary .cod file, maybe?

Same here. Also Mobile Backup with Rogers screws up your contacts badly, mixing data from several contacts. Sling didn't work. Restored to old version

After the installation, I notice that the battery has drained so quickly.

Interesting. Sling Player worked ok on WiFI but not AT&T 3G. Another thing I have noticed is none of my e-mail will show images now. Very weird. Guess I'll have to roll back to 680.
