Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I asked my Vzw b2b rep and he said January '07. He indicated that a contingent of vzw folks just returned from RIM in Canada and that they saw and discussed the device there. There is a big push for this device by vzw for the business sector.

I also spoke to a BB rep and he mentioned that a GSM/CDMA version of the 71XX will be coming to Bell Mobility.

If you are really going to travel that much, take the Verizon phone back, cancel the contract and go to Cingular.. The international features work REALLY well and the costs are similar to T-Mobile for international roaming..
They also have a plan for Canadian roaming for $9.99/mo that eliminates all roaming whilke in Canada!!!
Dual technology mode phones are like having a TV, VCR, Stereo.. It works but none of the features work well!

My rep said the same thing but he thinks that it won't be out till mid Q2..
And he said it should be a world blackberry (cdma/gsm) and have a full qwerty keyboard.
But the cost of the current vzw worldphones are very high $200-300, i see this blackberry cost is going to way to high....

Any more news for dual CDMA/GSM Blackberry for Bell Mobility? We had a sales rep come by and he said "will be available soon" but I did not have much time to get more concrete details out of him or better idea on the type of device we could expect.

Default Bell and Blackberry pearl CDMA/GSM

They are now saying early July for this unit. It will operate like the Motorola A840 vis-a-vis the CDMA and GSM usage.

I find it amusing that people said a GSM/CDMA Blackberry was never gonna happen. Oops.
