Not at all. The bold picks it up as a single battery and charges it accordingly. I have done this with other phones many times. As long as you solder things right everything works out great. Also, most extended batteries are "piggy backed", I know because I have taken them apart.

I really like the concept. Pretty simple once a new battery cover is worked out.

Thanks. I wouldn't mind making them and selling if I had A LOT of interest.
If I have the interest the cost would be this. $18-20.00 for the cover (which would fit the two 1500Mah batteries). The cost of the extra battery to put together with the 1st. I would buy both batteries, put them together, than you send me your battery once you received the package. Labor to put the batteries together would be maybe $10.00. So the total deal for a 3000MaH POWER battery with nice plastic cover would be $28-30.00 plus the cost for the 2nd battery.

I think that's a great price to make the bold a power house. I'm telling you guys, if you would use my bold the way I made this you would LOVE it even more! To use the bold without thinking about battery juice is just plain awesome. And with a slim back where you hardly feel a 2nd battery makes it icing in the cake. Anyone in chicago that would like to check my bold out let me know, pm me. Than you can see for yourself.

Thanks.

P.S I would need at least 1200-1500 people to be interested in buying. So if I can get that many I can put this on the market within 30 days. What do you think, any chance that many will buy?

1200 buyers, on this site? You have to be kidding. There aren't 1200 people active on this site for all the Blackberries I don't think.

Good point but I was just mentioning this here first. If I get some interest as I been getting I will expand to other forums and see what they say. Than take the plunge and make the battery cover. I done this before trust me. I'm just looking for some input on this idea for now.

I think you should express your interests in other cell phone sites such as HowardForums and such. Their user base is a lot larger and as a user over there myself, I'd be interested. Too bad I'm on a Javelin now!

Seidio, maker of various BB accessories/batteries inquired about a bigger Bold battery shortly after it came out, but to my knowlege hasn't come out with one yet.
