Hi,
I have had my 8800 for a couple weeks, in my use I noticed that when I push the screen or press the ball/any of the top buttons firmly my screen makes a wave distortion like when you touch a lcd screen. I am wondering if this is normal? Its easier to see on darker colors. Thanks.

That is not normal so I would take it back to get a new one. . . .

I have seen this on my 8800 and others have reported it as well. I think I'll return mine - thought it was normal.

mine does it as well, but i need to push on the screen cover to make it distort, not to worried about it, I'll just keep from doing it.

Um, it is an LCD screen.

Mine does it too and I also have a bit of a blue dot above the roler ball....not sure if I will go through sending it back and waiting a month for the fuss with t-mobile as it is quite lite..

mine does it too, i tried three of them in the store when i bought it and they all seemed to do it... is this still an issue with everyone?

Same here folks, but again, it's minor and not really a bother. My wife's does it, too, as did the 3 that I saw in the store. Mine happens to have a dead pixel as well in the left middle edge area. Not worth the hassle if you ask me. But I'm certain this would be unbearable to certain people.

i guess we just have to remember that it IS a LIQUID crystal display? my 8700 never did it though... oh well!

My sprint 8830 does it but my vzw 8830 did not. I'm taking the Sprint back within 30 days to exchange.
