Googling beta OS releases is only fun when successful. Now what would be really nice is to hear experiences and results from those who've been successful, downloaded it and installed it. In other words, "let Mikey try it", I hate being the first.

I would but I fell into this hole in the road and I can't get out...

Help, it seems to not stop - this ringing in my ears...

Abbott: That's right.
Costello: When you pay off the first baseman every month, who gets the money?
Abbott: Every dollar of it.
Costello: All I'm trying to find out is the fellow's name on first base.
Abbott: Who.
Costello: The guy that gets...
Abbott: That's it.
Costello: Who gets the money...
Abbott: He does, every dollar. Sometimes his wife comes down and collects it.
Costello: Whose wife?
Abbott: Yes.

Ok...

So this seems to be working ok...
Docs to go...
Beam Berry...
Video...

There is one item but not enough to consider an issue...
I have a new or named icon on the desktop that has an unusual name - the setup wizard for new mail somehow got a new name...(no - not a hoister)

So, as you can see, this is actually the regular mail setup but has a new name...

I will test the rest tomorrow...
Thanks to everyone... (I'll try not to fall into that hole in the road again!)

H.

I installed this last night and all seems ok. I still have a delay when sending SMS and it seems like my signal still fluctuates when I end a call. It started doing this when I upgraded to .93. I am wondering if I may need to do a full wipe and reload of this thing, it has been through a ton of updates.

Yay found it already getting ready to load it up..

Hey Holden, did you upgrade your Docs To Go to the latest one or are you using the one that comes with the BB OS?? Ive got mine upgraded from Docs To Go's site, and for the life of me that cool custom folder icon WONT stick at all.

Just this weekend I noticed that the folder was there all of a sudden (it NEVER is since Ive upgraded it past the one with the OS), so I put my Docs to Go apps inside it. Looked at my BB a day later, custom icon is gone all of a sudden and its a plain brown folder again.. Has anyone gotten that to stay around or is it some wierd service book thing maybe that only goes out with the OS's version of the app??

Been running this OS for over a day now. Device seems much faster, especially the browser. One thing I did notice was that the upgrade did downgrade my Google Apps: Google Sync, Google Talk, Google Maps, and Gmail App. Not sure why this happened, just be aware. The upgrade may also erase your Google Maps favorites.

Yes, I upgraded standing in line to vote. The upgrade went to about 50% and died. I could not figure out if the phone froze or it just stopped downloading. So, I pulled the battery. Once back up, I menu'd DTG and it was complaining about missing the app. So, I opened the browser and went to the website and downloaded the app again and all is good. I have not seen the folder issue/icon issue your seeing.

I had to redo DTG as expected. I also have Beamberry and all is good. The transfer was seamless. Yes, the device seems faster all over. Very subtle but just a pinch faster...

The email setup icon sorted itself out once all the service books were updated. About an hour after the update.

Sorry to hear this as I am flying right along...
So far, very stable with this one. Very fast and I have not found any issues. The only 3rd party apps I run is the Beamberry beta and Followup. So far, everything works great....
Are you running a lot of 3rd party apps?

H.

Just updated and still going through all my settings and apps to check them - but under the Messages -> Options -> Email Settings, and I choose my primary account there's an option to Always Download Images there. Was this option in .93? I swear I don't remember seeing it. There's also a 'wireless upgrade' option in the Advanced settings, don't remember that either... (maybe they were in .93 and I just never noticed?)

Rivviepop,

The always download images has been in the 4.5 betas since at least the .55 build, as well as the wireless upgrade option as well, which I believe is only usable for BES.
