Can anybody tell me what the symbol (2 with a circle next to it) at the top middle of the screen in this capture is & how to get rid of it please?:

It appeared after a battery pull, I have no new emails, vm's or anything else I can see.
TYIA!

You have an updated application in your App World > My World.

Also, read and clear the notification sent to your device, you'll find in your main messages folder.

App world update.
2 items in app world (either 2 apps, or 1 app and app world itself) needs updating.
Go to app world - my world and update.

craig, hahaha, you are so right.

And first they would have had you do ALL kinds of things like a battery pull, check different options and maybe even rub the screen real hard to see if it was only a smudge.

You are correct. They had me wipe it, amongst other thing, couldn't fix it, sent me to RIM, had me completely reinstal the OS, etc. NO help. Guess what? "Fixed" the problem myself: I got a new sim card; problem solved. Still kicking myself for not coming here first. Spent 1 1/2 months without a majority of my data services and had to reinstall ALL my third party apps. Not to mention being accused by RIM of installing a leaked version of BBM 5.

OK, since we're on the topic of new icons, I recently noticed that when I make a phone call, in the upper right corner there is square with five "+" signs running diagonally from the upper left corner to the lower right. If I select speakerphone, it goes away.

What the heck is that?

Enhanced call audio.
green call button - menu - options - general - bottom 2 options.
change to normal, it will go away.
