BBM question
Please Login to Remove!
I have a BOLD running .282 and it has BBM 4.6 on it. I have an OTA link for BBM 4.7, which looks a lot nicer. Can 4.7 be installed on my BOLD with the OTA link? I wouldn't think so at first, but it is possible to install BBM 5.0 right? I installed OS 5 (.130) on my BOLD last week and it had the newer version BBM 4.7 on it. Thanks.

You can't download bbm 4.7 but you can download bbm 5.0.

There are OTA links for all sorts of things, but it doesnt mean it will work on the device...

OK, just trying to understand. Is it due to the fact that BBM 5 has a BOLD version, but BBM 4.7 does not have a BOLD version?

Thanks......I got it now. Bummer, I love the newer BBM look of 4.7 & 5.0, but 5.0 is just too laggy right now. Time to wait........and wait......and wait......

That's good to hear....I loved BBM 5, and I have installed it a couple times, but each time it worked great sometimes, and other times it would delay sending the D & R's or I would not get them at all. I tried OTA and an install from my PC, but same results both times. Glad to hear its working for some though.

I have some problems with lag... and group chat was impossible to use - it crashed every time I tried... I dumped 5.0 and went back to the native BBM from OS 4.6.xxx... and decided to wait for the official 5.0 OS and "all the fixins"...
