I have finally been able to convert my wife to the blackberry world. In doing so I set up her yahoo through the BIS connection. Everything works great except she can't delete from her BB and have it reconcile with the yahoo email. I have check the reconcile deletes is enabled in the BIS settings and have checked the handheld settings and they are set to delete from handheld and mailbox. I have delete the settings and reconnected to the yahoo account, resent the service books and done a battery pull. Is there anything else I could be missing or is it supposed to work this way?

Thanks for any help you can offer. We are on verizon and she has a curve 8330 running 4.5.0.97

Don't think so. Email doesn't sync using BIS.

Is there anything that can be done for her? Or does she just need to deal with it? Is there another way I can set it up?

This works fine for me. To delete the msg on BB I get a dialog asking to delete from handheld or mailbox AND handheld. When selecting the later the msg disappears from my yahoo inbox.

Is this what you are doing?

Incorrect. For Yahoo specifically, email should sync the way jskolm85 expected it to.

The issue could be in how device is configured to reconcile or with what are reconciliation settings for this email address in the BIS account.

I'm having the exact same issue. I've got Yahoo, Verizon and the Storm. I've done all the trouble-shooting that I know (removed yahoo from BIS, cleared service book, battery pull) and nothing is working. The device is configured properly and BIS is marked to sync as well. Any suggestions?

To fix my wifes... I removed all BIS setting, reset it up, waited 20 minutes like it said, then resent the service books, then battery pull. Now if she deletes thing 1 at a time they reconcile. If she deletes multiple things they don't reconcile.

Deleting multiple messages will only delete them off the device, as far as I can tell with my Yahoo mailbox.

Deleting them one at a time brings up the option of deleting them off the handheld and mailbox, or just the handheld.

I had always selected multiple and then delete. However, I tried the one at a time, but still the same issue. Also, I used to get the "Delete on Handheld and Mailbox" but that is no longer happening. I'm wondering if that is the issue?
