Also getting this, do have Google Voice and Google Maps on my device. Haven't seen it too many times, maybe 2-3 times/week, but I just hit continue and let it do its thing

Carriers are listed as part of the user's profile to the left of each message. Why would you think that at&t was somehow modifying Google's certificate?

I am on VZW, this does not seem to be carrier specific. I do not believe carriers can block certificates.

I am in the same boat here. I was able to what appears as trust the certificate but now have "?" as well. Will this affect any applications.

I have Google Maps, Voice, and Mail.

And if the question mark remains on the "www.google.com" certificate in the Blackberry store (when viewed on the Blackberry via Options/ Security Options / Advanced Security Options / Certificates, then...
1. Press the Menu key while on the "www.google.com" certificate with the question mark
2. Select the Details item on the Menu
3. Select the "Fetch Status" button.
... at this point, I don't remember what's next.... but I think it's a button to explicity trust the certificate.

PS: for those that don't have the Google certificate showing up in their Key Store, the Crackberry.com discussion cited above has some recent posts on enabling certificate syncing via Desktop Manager that pulls in this certificate.

There is nothing to fetch, because I don't have any Google certificates installed. Google and mail.google.com are NOT in my Certificates list, yet they continue to give me error messages.

This started happening after I installed the latest version of Google Mobile Apps (the one that searches your phone book together with Internet searches) a few days ago. I have also noticed my battery getting drained very quickly after these messages started appearing.

For some reason, my Desktop Manager does not have the "synchronize certificates" icon described in that post. I do have the latest version, so it's strange.

It's an optional component. It's in the custom/advance install option. Remove DM and re-install.

Also, there is a discussion at Google certificate errors - Page 2 - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com that discusses the "how-to" in greater detail.

My Google cert was at the end of the list, ordered as a "w" with "www.google.com" not in the "g's".

I did it, including the Fetch Status step, and it seemed to work. On the 9700 with OS 5.0.0.423, the menu is Options/ Security Options / Advanced Security Options / Certificates.

I have not been getting it since I tried this.

Synchronizing through Blackberry Desktop Manager helped! I didn't have to fetch or modify individual certificates. Thanks everyone!
