Default 9300 dead?

Please Login to Remove!

Plugged it in to charge last night and when I came to check it this morning it is still off.
I have an orange light that comes on for 30 secs or so now and then.

It doesnt boot up at all.
I have tried to do a software install and it gets to the part where it tries to restart the phone and it just hangs. Says it could take up to 30 mins but left it an hour and it times out.

I have also tried the jlcmndr method too but it times out.

Any other ideas?

Update, I have managed to get it to the white screen and reload the modules etc.
once they are all loaded and just before it moves to the reboot part it times out when trying to connect to the device

I assume you are doing a full wipe with jl cmder? It could take an hour for it to reboot. If the loader times out just run it again once the device gets past the reboot. See if that fixes it, I had encountered this with my 8520 before and it was always a combination of trial and error to recover it when it did this.

the phone wouldnt switch on at all before update. So I read about and thought it could have been a software crash or corruption. So I downloaded the latest voda software build and installed that after wiping.

Managed this morning to get the phone to load up to startup screen but when I press any buttons it freezes and either reboots or turns straight off and wont boot unless I pull battery.

I have also downloaded the earlier build of the 5.0 software and has the same problems. As soon as I press a button off it goes.

Anything else I can try before trying to return it for replacement?

That is pretty much all that you can do that I know of.

I'd contact Vodafone and see if they will offer you a replacement as it sounds to me as if there is more than just a simple software issue.
