Default Recovering from Delete Prior

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Hoping you can help. I was trying to resolve a problem with unopened mail icon on my 8100 (which turns out to be a software bug, I believe) and in doing so, i marked prior opened, and when that didn't work, I tried 'delete prior'. (am using BES on Lotus Domino)

I didn't select handheld and mailbox, as I didn't want to delete my actual emails to be deleted, just the handheld version.

So, since it didn't work, I want the emails back on my BB. They still exist on my server, and I can see them through the Lotus desktop client. However, whether I wirelessly sync, or use the desktop manager, I can't get them back on the BB.

Is there a way to recover them so that my BB reflects my Domino inbox again? New messages get synced, just not old ones.

Thanks

Perry

I had a user ask the same recently but found no way to restore them to his device. Sorry!

The only way is to resend those emails to yourself - you will end up with duplicate emails in your desktop inbox, but will get them back on your handheld. It's messy.

also the forwarded messages will all show the current date/time (not when they were originally sent) and you (not the real sender) as the sender

Can't you just reactivate the device? Or even better, delete the state db then reactivate the device? Worst case you can delete yourself from the BES (ensuring to delete the state db, etc) and then reactivate.

Know this is a bit late, but only recently registered to the forum and saw this thread. I have been able to repopulate the Blackberry in-box by cutting and pasting the specific email on the server version of the Notes in-box as the BES seems to treat this like receiving a new email and sends it again.
