Default 7290 able to do a signature by typing sig in subject field?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user that has a 7290 (t-mobile) who is on our bes. When i go into a new message and type sig and hit enter/return it populates her email address and phone number.

However I have another user on a 7290 (t-mobile) who is on our bes. When I go into a new message and type sig and hit enter/return it just droops down 2 lines like something is there but it does not prefill his email or phone number.

PS. neither of them have a signature on the BES or on the handheld setup yet.

Anyone heard of this yet?

thanks

Not exactly, but you may check Autotext on each handheld. It should be replaced with %0, though I'm not sure how to edit that. If need be, you should be able to replace it with whatever you want.

I use about 4 or 5 signatures, using exclusively Autotext.

I'm confused now- if I type "sig" then press return on my 8700g, it display's the "information" part of the "Owner Information" section (you know the info that is diplayed when the keypad is locked)
