Adobe/Pdf reader does not work on BB devices.

You can get RepliGo Reader, BeamReader, or PDF to Go in order to open PDF documents on a BlackBerry. All are paid applications. There on free options to open PDF documents on BlackBerry currently.

Maybe a silly recommendation.

We just email a PDF and then you can view the attachment without having to buy a program.

You can't save the PDF and open it but could always just re-send it to yourself.

Yep. That's the work around. The messaging application will "convert" the PDF file attachment to "images" so that the document can be viewed. You can't "open" the file, but you can view it that way.

Not a silly recommendation, BTW.

Following up on what Motorcycle Mama and mseguin42 said, if that work around is good enough, then great. I can put in a good word for the premium doc's to go, though. It does some pretty incredible word/line wrapping to make a pdf readable on the BlackBerry, even documents with multiple columns per page. As I say, if the email work around works fine for you, then that's a solution. I just found it impossible to read a lot of documents that way.

For casual, occasional use, the email work-around is fine. If you need access to PDF files you will save to your memory card you need a dedicated PDF reader. Documents To Go Premium is IMHO is the way to go. If you look around, every now and then a deal is offered to get DTG at half price. That's a super deal as you can transfer your license for DTG to a new device.
