Hi,

Currently in middle of testing and wanted to know if I had a blackberry configured with 'internet mail account' then decided to move onto BES via 'Ent Activation' , would I loose my phones history i.e. my text/call history, browsing data?

It is very unlikely, no. BES email can coexist with BIS email, and EAing a device just sets up the BES email account and pushes any applicable service books and policies to the device. I cannot think of any reason why your data would be wiped.

Jadey is one of the best sources of BlackBerry and BES information you are likely to find. However I'll just say that from personal experience I have moved blackberries from BIS only to BIS & BES service many times and have never lost any data. That said, doing a back up of the device before hand is quite easy and strongly recommended.

Yes, defo back it up first. I only don't guarantee you won't lose data because:

a) $h!t always has the possibility of happening
b) there is a 0.01% that you have a crazy BES admin who has setup insane controls on the device - unlikely. Very unlikely. But never say never.
