Default "Hey!" and a little noob question

Please Login to Remove!

Hey!

Olafs - latvian from Lithuania - pleased to meet You blackberryforum-ers!

Since I am a noob in all concerning BB, maybe you could suggest, in witch forum should I post this:

For years I felt, that I need proper planning device/notebook type of phone. Thought more or less between iPhone and Blackberry, but no recent offer of local provider Bite lured me into taking Blackberry.

First thing - Skype - very problematic and I already searched and lurked this forum concerning this. Too bad, too bad...

But the question is [I don't remember where I read that] - do I, besides my local data/calling plan, have to activate some BB plan also to get all apps [such as browser and e-mail client] working correctly? Does that cost something?

Other concern was using WiFi without paying anything, but I guess this has been sort it out somewhere...

Well. Thank You in advance and hope I didn't cross any rules with posting a question in "Welcome" forum.

Regardz,

osh

Welcome. Yes, you need a special Blackberry Data Plan from your mobile carrier. It has an extra cost, which is different depending on the carrier. Give them a call for details.
