Default Constant Reboots

Please Login to Remove!

After using the 8220 for a couple of weeks, my wife started saying the Flip would constantly reboot. After checking it for a couple of days, I started seeing it, too. I ran through everything I could think of...battery pulls, SIM card swaps, memory card swaps/removals/formats, theme changes, updating/reverting the OS, etc. and nothing worked. As a matter of fact, it got worse. So, we went to the T-Mobile store where the clerk said she didn't know what was going on, but to call Customer Service and exchange it under warranty.

So, her new 8220 should be here Wednesday. In the meantime, she has gone back to using her Pearl that has always worked.

Got the new phone last night (Tuesday) and transferred everything over. Used the same battery, memory card and OS (.174) and it is running fine. Guess we just got a lemon with the first one.

Sorry, never updated this thread. No, the problem went away with the new 8220. Same firmware (.174) and the same programs. Same files on the same media card. Same SIM. Everything is the same except the phone. The new one works perfectly.
