Unhappy phone hangs when trying to remove App

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I have a Tour 9630 running OS 4.7.1.53 on US Cellular. I downloaded the Kayak app from the application world, and when I last used it, it told me there was an upgrade. I clicked on upgrade, nothing happened. Tried it again, nothing happened. Tried it from the Blackberry Application World, it hung up my phone. Pulled the battery and tried it again...same result.

So, I figured I'd just uninstall it and install the new version. Tried with the App World, it hung up my phone. Tired deleting it through the Applications menu in Options/Advanced Options, it hung up my phone. Tired to delete it using BB Desktop Manager, it hung up my phone.

What gives? How do it either get rid of this ap, or upgrade it?

It can happen with some buggy software...been there, quite annoying.

Have you tried via desktop manager?

You can try highlighting the app that's frozen, then hold down your alt key and enter r-s-t. Check if it rectifies your device issue as it works on some devices.
