Default 8130 OS questions

I had a little crisis with my track ball, it just got really stuck and sometimes spun around and went nowhere and then it would suddenly zip quickly to where ever, end result was it was hard to zero in on where i wanted it to be so I took it back to verizon and they swapped out the phone, i am still in my 30 days so it was pretty easy.

The new phone has all kinds of little differences in the setup options. All i can find is that the first one has v4.3.0.60 platform 3.1.0.32 and the new one has 4.3.0.97 platform 3.1.0.51. What could have changed in 3 weeks?

This has been a royal pain in the butt because they were unable to transfer my address book and so i am playing around with the desk top manager, i think i got it done but there are a million little setting changes that i made and am trying to re-tweak which is where i am finding all kinds of little difference.

Did they update the OS in the last three weeks?

Thanks
Kalinka

The updated OS is not that major, I would be surprised that you found so many differences, as they are usually non-cosmetic and in regard to matters you would not notice, in this case tweaks to the fairly new 4.3 OS.

Your address book would be easy to replace if you had a back up of the old device on your PC... did you?

I notice in the options, there are things that are not present on the newer phone than the one i got 3 weeks ago, also the font display on the phone calls is different even though i have set it at the exact same setting as the first phone. I was just surprised that there were any changes at all.

Verizon should have been able to transfer the info from the old blackberry to the new one.
