I upgraded last night, but got Version 5.0.0.328. I do not have the Letter indicator option. Do I need to update again? Everytime I update, app world and Messenger dissappear.

The letter option appears in version 428. It's for the Storm 2. There is a newer version than 328 for the Storm 1 but you have to DL it from a site like BBLeaks.com. I don't remember the number version for the Storm 1.

.328 does not have the popup letter feature.

That's the latest official or leaked OS 5 for the 9530

I installed the "leaked" OS and have had no major problems. The ones I have may be issues that come up with any OS updates (e.g. certain programs needing to be set up again because they forgot all their settings).

But, my point, you do get the keyboard pop-ups. However, I don't think they really help that much. They aren't going to be the saving grace for someone that simply can't deal with the virtual keyboard.

It took me about a month to start liking the Storm 2.
