Open up desktop manager when you have your phone on and choose backup and restore then choose to do a backup. It will prompt you where to save the file and the rest is easy sailing. Hope that helps.

Baydoner. I just google "bb storm os .113 download". You should find plenty of links that way. If not I think on page 3 of this thread I pasted a link.

So I finally took the plunge and updated my Storms OS. I was running 75 or 79 one of the two, this was straight from the factory and I updated to 113. I had never tried this before and I have to say that it was reasonably simple to do, the only problem that I came across was that it backed up and restored everything but my contacts. So it's really just a mild frustration. Maybe next time I will have a little more luck, I have 3 others that I want to upgrade so I guess we will see how things go with that.

But I must say that I am pretty satisfied with the hole process, thanks to all of the post in this. So I guess thanks to all of you great and savvy people. So here is a great big smile and thumbs up to you.

I have had my Storm about 1 week now, and I have only good
things to say about it. I bought it with the expectation that I would
have to live through the problems I have read so much about. The
alternative was an AT&T - I Phone, but a friend of mine has one,
and does nothing but complain about AT&T. So I went with the
Storm because I have been happy with the Verizon Network, service
and support for over 12 years now. Maybe my expectations were low
because of so many bad reviews I read, but honestly the Storm has
out performed my friends I Phone hands down. I have used his I Phone
quite a bit, and I suck at touch screen typing, but I suck less with the
Storm. All is good with OS .75, and they say OS .113 is even better!
I can’t wait.

I'm just updating to say after using .132 for the weekend I decided to go back to .113. I have downgraded and am up and running again. .132 was fine except for somewhat of a memory leak and more drain on battery. I did wipe my storm using crackutil and noticed when I reinstalled my os that I have 5mb MORE (50.0mb) of free memory than I have ever had since owning the storm. Maybe it's because I actually wiped the whole system.

Oh well. All is well and I'm content with .113.

You all need to try .132. It's out there and I am thrilled with it.

I just ordered a new storm from verizon bc mine kept rebooting itself and saving device error!!! (verizon will most likely send me a refurbished one)

I really don't have much problems with my phone now except the annoying device error which then reboots. and the same problems as everyone else with the .75 version OS. lag, lag, lag!

would the new OS .113 solve the device error problem? some help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!!!!

BBMGirl,

I found .113 solved 97% of my problems that I had on .75 including the random reboots, landscape/portrait orientation, lagginess in choosing different things, camera functionality, etc etc etc. You will love .113
