Default Accuweather Push Service.

Please Login to Remove!

Apparently they must have expanded their coverage because they now cover Spring Hill FL... I signed up for it, I like the home screen icon with the description (looks nicer then the WetherBug icon)..

Now my deal breaker is does it push out automatically if their is a severe weather alert?? I haven't ran it long enough to get any to find out, but I want to make sure before I actually delete WeatherBug (I've been using it for over year!)

I have had Accuweather on my Curve for a couple of weeks and it has send me SMS alerts for all severe weather. You will need to get on a PC to set this up on there site.
Hope this helps.

...But that is available from just about all the local news stations and weather services?

I subscribe to AccuWeather's free push service but have never seen any kind of severe weather notice, icon change or audio alert like WeatherBug..

Oh - and I am trying WeatherBug AGAIN as well.

I should also mention that I have the 3 mo. paid subscription for the Accuweather. But hey, The Weather Channel had SMS alerts and you could even get a video of a close, major city. And that was the free service.

I've used WeatherBug for about 1 year now. I get the alerts and it's free. I wish that the application had fewer icons to mess with, however.

I really like WeatherBug. Always have. It just always seemed to vampire my battery.

This is the 3rd of 4th time I try it. This latest version (0.9.6.6) seems to be much better.

Go to the forecast screen. At the bottom of the screen there's a link to unsubscribe from the service--you might have to click on one the the link to get to the unsubscribe page. Then go into your browser bookmarks and delete the WAP push bookmark for Accuweather. I think that will do it.
