BlackBerry Handheld Software v7.0.0.2090 (All Languages)
This will install to any carrier's 9900 by following the instructions below.

Package Version: 7.0.0.2090
Consisting of:
Applications: 7.0.0.474
Software Platform: 5.0.0.645
File name: 9900jAllLang_PBr7.0.0_rel2090_PL5.0.0.645_A7.0.0.4 74_WIND_Canada.exe
File size: 237.234MB

Download the OS file here: https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...74E0139FE28154

Instructions for installing on the 9900:
1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Vista/Win7 users: In the apploader folder, simply click on "Compatibility files" to see the actual Vendor.xml file. Once you've got that - simply delete the vendor.xml file there (even if you've deleted or think you've deleted it in the folder previously) and voila, it will allow you to update to the newly installed OS!
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process may take up to 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a black "BlackBerry" screen with a status bar for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again, and it should load the OS to the device.

Don't even think of downloading right now. Servers are so jammed the download time is showing at anything from 3 hours to 3 days. There are several mirror sites that have the file now, which are downloading at normal speeds!

Steve have you downloaded yet, I just downloaded .440 and its fine, not sure if I should bother downloading .474 at this time unless there is a big improvement on Battery life

Well - if you'd looked at my post, you'd have seen that it was posted a few hours after the download was made available, yesterday. At that time, the servers were reporting what I posted!

@ Nicollini - I have not as of yet, as I'm travelling in the US today, but I've been reading that there are some issues that have been resolved, like the hidden icons that reappear after a reboot and a few other issues that I've seen. However, you also have to carefully examine the source of these posts, as they appear on the "other" site, which is full of idiots and children who can't even speak, let alone type. LOL

Any version of the software can be installed on any carrier's 9900.

I installed it on my phone and the battery is running so fast!
I am thinking of rolling back to the previous OS on the phone

No difference in battery life for me between this build and .440, which runs a bit better than previous OS's.

.440 seems to have better speeds, not dramatic, but a bit faster. I can't feel any real difference between that leaked version and .474, the official Wind release. Hidden icons now stay hidden after a reboot as well.
