It's part of wallpapers pack that's now missing. Check out one pinned thread about missing wallpapers.

I don't know why removing them from the java folder wouldn't work. However, you could always use javaloader.

javaloader -usb erase -f <full file name.cod>

The -f switch will allow you to remove a file that is in use on the device.

I haven't done this on a Bold myself. However, I don't recommend removing the preloaded ringtones from any device. It causes problems not being able to edit profiles (sounds) on the device.

I did this on my old OS.. I take it, I would benefit from doing this process again since upgrading to 4.5.0.66?

Thanks,

-Corey

Default a HUGE thanks to you John

I recently purchased a blackberry and am the furthest thing from being "a techie" but you're instructions were so thorough I had no trouble following them and removing everything I needed to...
a BIG hug to you john!

my only question is- if I remove all the preloaded ringtones will my BB still vibrate when I receive new e-mails and Im's (that's all I have it set to do now)

Thanks again... wish you could come over and help with the rest of my computer problems- hee hee

Removing preloaded ringtones will cause issues with the Profiles application. I don't recommend removing them.

Ok, I did NOT read through EVERY post, but I did read those that had hits on Content Store.....

What is Content Store and can I get rid of any of the files in it? My Content Store is 54/8863.8k.....sure would love to have some of that memory back....

Those are all your pictures, reingtones, etc. Go to Media >menu key >Explore and go into Device memory and clean out any unneeded files. The best thing to do is move them to a media card. To answer your question, yes, you can clear that database if you want to.

Thanks! I did the above and freed up some of the memory and reduced the files some, but I have 11 files in my media, yet still have 48 files in the content store with 5669.4k.....what other files are stored here?

edit. Just FYI, my total database size is 5709.5k...so you can see my content store is the killer here.

That's pretty nuch it. You should have several folders in device memory. Go through all of them.

Default Just saying thanks.

Thank you for the awesome information. I don't do a single upgrade without referring to this guide. I should have expressed my gratitude sooner, but I don't know what to say, except thank you.
