Has anyone come across any information about the bug where the Blackberry will stop charging when connected to USB or even external power.

For some reason, the charge indicator will just go out and the phone will refuse to charge. I have found that I can usually fix the problem by turning the phone off or on again. Worst case a reset will fix it.

This has been a frequent problem since the 4.x OS. I have not been able to find any information about the issue.

That has never been the case for me unless the battery or charger was faulty. You might want to check that out.
