Been using .168 since the day it was public, and for the most part it's been great.

Aside from an occasional media error, Youtube works beautifully -- so much so that I wound up loading and watching MANY videos, and discovered that an hour of streaming Youtube over WiFi/UMA eats away at the battery -- not too bad, though, when you consider that I had been using the 8900 on battery since about 6am, and my Youtube fest was at about 9pm that night, and after an hour of Youtube on top of a 15 hour normal usage day, my battery had dropped to about 65%. I'm amazed, though -- never would have thought I'd enjoy Youtube so much on a tiny device like this, but it's great!

GPS has been awesome with this -- takes a few mins to lock in satellites from a cold start, but not too long. Once there, I'm seeing accuracy of about 3 meters when I'm INSIDE my house on the second floor -- and I can watch myself, on Google Maps in satellite view, moving from one end of the house to the other -- it's almost creepy to see how accurate this is.

With all this free memory and processor speed, Viigo is great once again, web browsing is a pleasure, and the device is becoming even more a part of my life than it was before. No noticeable problems with .168 -- this seems more stable than ANY version of 4.5 I ever ran on my old 8300.

No GPS problem for me. Checked it today. The only small problem that I could find is a slower response of the camera.

So far 168 has been good as 152. I have not noticed any battery increases or any wireless improvements. I am still playing around with it I have not found any huge bugs but I will keep you posted.

I'm confused because you guys are talking about .152 and .168 yet when I check the menu of my 8900 for a upgrade it says I'm on .114 so are these upgrades over what I have on it currently? It says there are no available upgrades so please tell me if we're talking about the same thing.

You're looking at the item for wireless (over the air) updates -- the availability of those depends on your mobile carrier (at a minimum) -- I haven't heard of anyone actually doing an OTA update of the OS yet (although I imagine various people have been testing that feature).

Others here have been downloading updates from various places -- some "official", hosted by RIM or a mobile carrier, and some unofficial, when somebody with access to a beta version shares it via a site such as Rapidshare. If you start at the beginning of the thread, you'll get a better idea of where people are finding these -- also look at the beta thread as well.

You'll have to download the OS to your PC, install it to the PC along with desktop manager, and then use DM to load the OS to your Blackberry.

It took mine forever to find the sats the first time, and I had to have it in the car. It usually can pick them up if I put it in my office window, but that didn't work this time.

Only issue I've had was with the reloading of software after the OS install. For some reason it decided to hang when loading phone number history.

Haven't noticed anything different from .133 but I'll keep watching.
