Default ACT! 2008 and the BB

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone using ACT! 2008 and syncing with the 8800 (or any BB for that matter)? I have read of a few issues using ACT! 2007 but 2008 is just released I think.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Hmmm may have to give it a try if for nothing other than reporting back here and informing the BB community

Is there a reason that it wouldn't?

I use ACT! 2007 and BBs (although not together) and many ACT! customers use BBs.

To curtail that would be bad news.

I use Companionlink- alot cheaper than HHC.

Works with ACT 2008:
CompanionLink 2.0 -- synchronize your contact management and CRM databases with any mobile device.

We still need a third party software that allows you to schedule from the BB and link activities and contacts.

I also use Handheld Contact and love it... it's the most "ACT! like" PDA solution

I went with Double Look to sync ACT and Outlook and then sync the BB to Outlook as usual. Seems to be working so far.

Plowed through every thread on this.

A.) Downloaded updated BB desktop from Verizon
B.) Downloaded BB service... from website successfully
C.) Downloaded calendar patch successfully
D.) Downloaded build 3014 CompanionLink update

Followed every single item with every single update and the calendar from my ACT! still does not appear on my BB. The CompanionLink people couldn't help either. Yikes, this is really frustrating. Thanks for the help.

Default 2007 ACT synch of calender problem

I've read through these threads, and my problem is similar. I have ACT 2007, and a new BB 8310 curve. Using CompanionLink (Build 3021), got the calender patch, and I get all my contacts (1,530), and my notes, and that works great, but no calender events, no appts., no ToDos.

Can anyone shed any light on this problem?

Thanks, Carl

Default Trouble with ACT and BB

Hi Carl,

I have also for 3 months, since purchasing Act & Companionling been experiencing gut renching difficulties trying to get them to work well together to no avail. At times I wish I just stayed with Outlook ,but we need a more comprehensive reporting system. My experience has just been inconsistency. Contacts will dissapear and them reappear days later. If I make an apt. on my phone, most of the time it wont appear on my pc.
What I did change yesterday was the synch time from every 15 minutes to every 6 hours because the phone was always in the synch mode having close to 3000 contacts. I just noticed some names reappear that I haven't seen for days. Hopefully this will make a difference.
Has anyone switched from ACT to HandHeld with better luck? I need help with this hole thing before I loose it. Please advise.

Thank You,

Kevin

Default ACT Outlook Doublook and BB

have BB8830, ACT! 2008 and Outlook 2003. I use Doublelook to sync betw Act and Outlook then sync from Outlook to BB. THis seems to have worked in getting contacts, to do's and calender functions to BB. I do not sync notes as takes up too much space (have 5400 contacts) and only sync one way - Outlook to BB (not BB to Outlook). I maintain ACT as the bible not to be altered by Outlook or BB info. If I make appt while out of office I send myself an email reminder to put into ACT when I'm back in office and contacts I either keep the business card or carry a small stenopad to write contact info on & enter into ACT later.
Have used ACT for over 10 yrs and like the functionallity of it but have been VERY disappointed w/ACT support since they were bought by Sage. This workaround is not ideal but works for me for now. Probably not feasible workaround for corp database syncing

I just got ACT! 2009 and BB Curve 8310. These posts suggest there is no direct connection between ACT! and BB. Is that correct? Do I then need to purchase a 3rd party program?

Double Look syncs between ACT and Outlook and then you can sync the BB to Outlook.
