Default recently unlocked phone

Please Login to Remove!

hi all.

I have recently unlocked my blackberry pearl from Orange to O2. Calls work and everything but I can't download the blackberry app store or messenger applications, It seems to have FAcebook already installed on it and that works fine but I can't get any other ones.

Any ideas to fix it please

Moved to the 8500 section.

What is the model umber of the device? You have 8500 in your profile, yet the post says Pearl. Which is it?

Do you have a BB data plan (a.k.a. bolt on) activated on your account?

I had a blackbery curve but it has suffered water damage. As my sim card has free BB internet on it as part of my monthly bill I needed to get another BB. My friend has lent me her old Pearl. Sorry about the confusion

Don't pay for going online thru a blackberry but would if I used internet provided by o2. Can't see how that could stop me getting the app store tho. Just explains why I have changed phone models

Your BIS account thinks you still have your curve.
You need to login to that account and use the change device option to enter your current blackberry's [pearl] PIN and IMEI.
Then it will know which phone you have and send the relevant service books to your device so your device knows you have a blackberry data plan.
