Opera mini and the BB browser, used together, can view almost any webpage.

Although I like the BB browser, I use Opera Mini because it's a lot faster on my device.

Another vote for OperaMini here - I really really like the new 4.0 release.

Depends on the usage for me. For simpler tasks like weather, sports, etc... I use the BB browser.

For looking at sites like Fandango to order movie tickets, or Banking websites, I use Opera Mini. You have to use Opera Mini if you want to do banking I believe.

Opera Mini Hands down for me. The default browser is not too bad but I'm definitely looking forward to any improvements they may make to it for the new OS release.

With Opera you can view true web pages a lot faster than with the BB Browser. I've kinda treated the BB Browser like Internet Explorer... use it to download Firefox/Opera, and then remove the icon from the application menu. =P

Thumbs up Opera Mini 4.1

First, I'd like to say that I just joined the Forums and I've already learned much. I've had a BB for two years now... don't know why I wasn't here before.

Anyway, I just loaded Opera Mini 4.1 and it works great! I'm on a BES thru my company and run into proxy issues with the BB Browser. OM gets me past all those issues! I am with Verizon and have the Curve 8330.

I see that verizon users have operamini, but the link provided says verizon is not supported. Are there any special steps or am I missing something being a noob.

Actually, the site says "The service is not available to Verizon Wireless subscribers (other than BlackBerry users) yet". On operamini.com, read the statement under the green Free Download button.

Agreed! They both have advantages over each other on certain things. When one learns how to use them both to their fullest, you have the best of both worlds and the best browsing experience.
