Is there anyway to use my old pin number to get all my old info back onto my new bb, i stored all my files but my computer crashed and got a new one. I dont want to have to add all my bbm friends again and stuff like that. I just downloaded desktop manager again but my old bb is broken so I cant restore my data again on it. help anyone?

Without the old device or the back up files there's no way to restore your info to a new device. What's broke on the old device that you can't hook it up and do a device switch?

the usb port is broken on my old device so it wont take a charge and you cant hook it up to a computer or whatever else it needs to transfer data to another device. I used what power i had left to take down all my contacts cause i had no other choice. I guess it was just the perfect storm for me to get screwed. Its all good though im just gonna start from scratch. thanks for your reply

yeah man, your bbm friends you gotta write it down. but for contacts and calendar you can get google sync upload onto your google account and transfer things over that way.

but yeah, anything like bbm, password keeper, saved msg they are all hosed. only PIM can get over to google OTA

sorry to hear that, i had a 8800 with broken USB port, it sucked big time, now i use charging pod for all my bb, avoid using the usb port unless necessary
