not to mention that at&t does have an exclusive on the bold, so the chances of t-mobile getting it by the end of summer is not going to happen. given that website shows no proof of a roadmap, i'd be very cautious on believing this one...

But it is on BGR. It *must* be true.
Chances of T-Mobile having the 9000 by September 1: 0.00%

BGR is alot more reputable than most other blogs.. more so than.. say.. InfoSync and their release of the Bold on three carriers in September.

16 is a little suspect, but the switch is flipped on the 3G network, they are going to have to start throwing out some 3G capable handsets. And they're lineup can definitely use some updating.

BGR seems to get a lot more credible info than any other site and certainly knows more than when it comes to inside info.

some may be creditable but this one is HIGHLY doubtful... RIM would need to change the frequencies for Tmo as they use 1700 and 2100... and then if they did release it will tmo then AT&T will be pissed because they are suppose to be exclusive...

I'm not saying this latest rumor is spot on, I'm just saying BGR seems to get an awful lot of good intel. No one is 100% on the mark, if they were they would be in the big money markets.

BGR does yes, but this is just a link from another site. no more credible than anyone posting something here and BGR linking it.

InfoSync's date of September for T-Mobile's 9000 is the most plausible IMO. AT&T released their original Curve around May/June of last year before T-Mobile released the 8320 in September. Assuming the AT&T 9000 is released next month, September sounds about right for T-Mobile.

Not only does that seem plausible, but keep in mind that T-Mobile's version of the BB9000 will not look the same as the Bold offered exclusively for AT&T, so it is slightly a different "model" altogether. Expect to see it by August/September.

Interesting, I hadn't heard that last part about a different 'look' -- any pics (spy or otherwise)?

I'm pretty stoked for the Bold -- and irritated at the same time that T-Mo can't even flip the switch on their home market for 3G first! ;)

its not going to look different... at least i HIGHLY doubt it... T-Mobile, it'll be a while before they get it... if you look at all the factors you will understand

factors:
1. no 3g out for them yet
2. AT&T is exclusive for the time being
3. the BOLD is using a different frequency for the HSDPA (850/1900/2100) tmobile uses 1700/2100 so RIM will have to change the radio for the BOLD for tmo

that is why it will be a while for the BOLD to make its way over to tmo

I cant see Tmo getting the Bold by August! at&t hasn't even really givin us any indication that they'll drop this thing before the iphone 2 anyway. And as we all know they have the exclusive on the Bold anyway! So if this thing hits around the end of June
(I hope) or even sometime in the beginning of July, they are going to have at least a 3 month exclusive (at the minimum) so that would leave Tmo, Verizon, Sprint out until about October. All Speculation right now on the drop, but i'd say add 3-4 months from the day at&t releases to all other US carriers.

ATT did state the beginning of Summer which would be the middle to end of June. By a different look for Tmo, I'm assuming that it would just be a different color and perhaps UMA and 3G freq. Other than that, its the same berry. As for Sprint. The pearl didn't make it til almost a year, the 88xx didn't make it til almost a year, the curve didn't make it til a year later. Why would the Bold drop a couple of months after ATT? Its just wishful thinking that gets the hopes up but no delivery.

Well, you do make good points. It is unlikely, but a counter to your statements:

1) 3G is on. Just not rolled out. It has been confirmed that 3G is up and running in New York. Main metro areas will get the switch flipped this summer (L.A, Denver, etc.)
2) There is NO exclusivity on the Bold with AT&T.. They have an exclusivity on international 3G data, NOT the device itself. Read the Press Releases
3) To my knowledge, bold antenna sets are ready to go. They have been beta testing the Bold on T-Mo, so it's not going to take much to get them out the door.

Yes, but the link is TMo News, which is also pretty reputable themselves.
