on the bby 9000 how do i just lock the keyboard without having to use the Lock function and then inputting my password to release

Press the A/* key, hold it down a second and it will lock the device.

IF you have a password set, you WILL have to use the PW to unlock.

u can even just press the K letter, it will lock it

the K shortcut only works when Homescreen dialing is turned off in the phone/call log options, but is CERTAINLY a good one to remember as well.
