Wonder if anyone would be able to help me.
I have just bought a BB 9900 from ebay as unlocked.
It will not read any SIM card though.
I have double checked with all the information provided in this forum and it is indeed unlocked.
Do you have any idea as what the problem might be? It is so frustating!!!

Are you sure that it is unlocked?
Are you sure that your SIM card is compatible with the device?

Buying from eBay can be problematic. Was it sold "as is"? Did it ever work for you?

what carrier WAS the phone on? and what carrier do you want the phone to be ne?

I am sure it is unlocked... I have taken it to several places that fix phones here in Brazil but they cant find out what the problem is.
They have assured me it is unlocked and have also reinstalled the OS.
I don't know what to do... I have a useless phone in my hands.

I have even tried using a card from London that I bought last time I went there, but it doesn worlk either.

Maybe the phone is stolen?? I don't know situation sounds weird. Hope everything works out.
