Please Login to Remove!

I have had a Torch since August and first i thought it would take a little getting used to. That has come and gone, i just traded in my Torch for a pearl 2 and i love it. Any thoughts about the torch anyone?

Why do you care what other people think about the Torch?
If you're looking for validation about your dumping it for the Pearl, then that's just silly.

How about updating your profile to show the correct device and carrier?

I've been using the Torch since September and I believe it to be the *best* BB device to date. Go figure.

The torch is definately a polarizing device. I have a tour that needs replaced and I would prefer to stay with Verizon, but I do not want a Tour2 if I can avoid it. I also don't want to get onto the Storm platform they will probably obsolete soon.

Glad to see that some are pleased with the platform. Perhaps all the bashing is "it's not a droid with 4.3" AMOLED screen"

I hated it and now it is growing on me.
I still prefer the 9700 but I am giving this one a fair shake.

I don't believe it to be a fair statement that this is the worst BB to date. The Torch is a great device for some people. It fills their needs, wants and desires with the touch screen, the track pad and the physical keyboard. Unfortunately, for me the Torch just isn't working. I really miss my 9700 and am trying to trade back for one. The opinion is all in the eye of the beholder! What I want in a phone may not be what you want and vice versa. To say the Torch is the worst BB to date is just not true.

Do you mean the 9650 Bold? That's a rock solid device and I would recommend that device to anyone on cdma.

A little bit of a strange post.

Comparing a Torch to the Pearl 2 is like comparing a truck to a two seater (irrelevant which is which). Really not relevant.

I own both, and happy with both, each for its own purpose. If you now found your happiness, then good for you, but this does not really deserve the title you gave to the post.

Although I have generally liked every BB unit I've owned (except the Storm), I must say I have grown to absolutely love my Torch. The combination of the touch screen, trackpad and the physical keyboard was a little confusing at the beginning, but I find this an outstanding trio.

Glad to see that there is a BlackBerry to suit the wishes, needs and desires of each of us.

Wow...leaving a Torch for a Peal 2? Torch is the worst BB to date? Dude, is there something in the water in your 'hood?

I love my Torch, but then I tend to be a little more patient than some and allow for the learning curve on new stuff. I am one who also thinks it's the best BB ever!

Guess it goes to show you there's a 'berry for everyone!

We had more torch purchases these past 2 months at the office, than any phone on the market.

Completely agree with your post I owned a Pearl an there really isn't any comparison to a full QWERTY device.

This is my opinion of course, but when I went from my Pearl to the Bold 9000, I couldn't imagine how I got along without a full keyboard. As much as I loved my Bold, I now can't imagine going back to it after living with the Torch. As you said, the combination of touch screen/trackpad/physical keyboard offers way more flexibility.

To say it is one of the worse that really is an over statment . At first I too did not like it but as the I updated the torch I started to like it more and more . The torch right know I feel is one of the best blackberry rim has ever made to date . It will get even better as the updates come out.

I had mixed opinions until 284 came out. Since I started using that OS release my Torch experience has improved leaps and bounds. I'm really starting to like the device

I am intimately convinced that the growing like for the device is not just thanks to the new smoother release, but also our adoption and acceptance of OS 6 + the combination of the touchscreen/trackpad/physical kb.
