Angry I really need some help with this one!

Please Login to Remove!

I'm trying to use the Web Desktop manager I have it installed on my dev box 4.1.4 sql 2005. I am able to get to the log in screen by going to http://besServername/webdesktop but when I try to enter my AD account password and domain it tells me its incorrect. When I installed the software I gave it my ldap lookup and used a domain account for the lookup. It finished the install so I assume that the app is able to query my ldap and pull the users names if thats what it is looking for when you log in. The page prompts me for the cert and downloads and installs the cab file so I know thats getting processed it just won't let me in. I'm just about ready to rip my hair out on this one. Please help

Were you able to resolve this? This is the exact problem I'm having.

Thank you.

have you guys checked your bas-config.properties file to verify your settings were saved? I was going crazy trying to get the OS files to recognize and I had an extra character entered I overlooked? Using the proper LDAP port?

I had some trouble too. For the URL I ended up using a specific machine and port number instead of just the domain, e.g.:

ldap://somedc.domain.com:389

...and setting the search base to:

DC=domain,DC=com

I also set the default domain to be the short version of our domain name (e.g. "DOM", not "domain.com").

That seemed to take care of it.

I don't see any entries in the bas-config file for ldaplogin and ldappassword, but wasn't sure if they were supposed to be in there.

I'm just hoping that making these changes are actually taking effect.

Any chance you guys could post copies of yours, with sensitive data removed of course?

I fixed this, sort of. I got really frustrated and decided to try starting from scratch on a different server. I created a VM, installed 2003, installed just WDM, exact same settings as when I installed it on the BES, works fine.

Apparently there are some issues installing it on your BES, despite the documentation stating that it will work fine.

I'm not saying it won't work on a BES, I'm just saying that the appears to be some potential issues.
