My Tour works very well, better than most others.

Are you sure the ALT key is stuck? One of the new features of 4.7 is that you can hold the menu button for a moment and get the app switcher. Excellent new feature.

No, I'm not sure. Wasn't aware of this feature either. Maybe it's from multiple presses that it pops up when the device is moving slowly. Thanks!

Yea, I had changed my key rate from "Normal" to "Fast" and everytime I hit the menu it went to the app switcher. I thought something was wrong until I remembered changing the setting. The menu key worked great as long as I hit it quick. Since I didn't find any other advantages to changing the key rate I decided to go back to the "Normal" setting which resolved my issue. I love the new feature and it frees up the left convenience key for me.

That's cool, I had not noticed that with the menu key.
Just for the record, I'm not having the problems being reported here. My battery life is good, voice quality is excellent, battery door is snug, display is great. I'm not crazy about the placement of the USB port on the right side, but I can live with it. There a few browser options I liked on the Curve that aren't in the Tour, but those are not a big deal either. Overall, great device and I'm loving it.

The data signal went out twice today from 1XEV to 1xev. The second time it happend I was on the phone with a Verizon Tech Rep as I was activating my old 8830WE on my wife's line. It was funny because the 8830 had data coverage at 1XEV while my Tour didn't. He said that it is quite common for this to happen and that I had to dial ##000000 to update the service books. I never had that issue with the 8830.

I hope you never get that Verizon rep on the phone again.
This is the most absurd thing I've ever heard.

+1 ^ ... Uhhh, yeah ... ##000000 is the CDMA Service Program Edit Screen ... which has absolutely nothing to do with BlackBerry Service Books.

Maybe he didn't say service books, but it definately was to get the 1XEV back. This didn't sit well with me since I thought the data signal was supposed to come back by itself.

It shouldn't sit well with you. If you didn't change anything on your phone, at most a reboot should fix it.

Thanks, I know.
Is it common for that to happen? I can't remember the last time I had that issue with my 8830.

It happened twice to me as well. A reboot fixed it once, but it happened again. I resent service books a few times and it hasn't happened since....but sort of suspicious as to how that would fix things permanently.

Make sure you have "Location Aiding" enabled in the GPS settings. No issues for me.

Problems with Tour 9630. Can anyone help?
Hello, Just got 2 new BB tour 9630. Main trouble is the Call forwarding. It does not give you the option to foward "some" calls rather than "all" calls. Page 17 of my Sprint instruction booklet says it should be able to do that. The options stated in the book that should appear on the phone (ie: To foward only unanswered calls : Click All Calls ( that option never appears anywhere on the screen!!!!!!!!) I have literally spent hours and hours on the phone with tech support, had my consultants on the phone with Sprint & Blackberry and Blackberry says it's Sprints fault and Sprint doesn't understand any of it. Very Very frustrating!!!! Can anyone advise?????

My battery life seems rather short. I have not had the background image problem other people have reported - my wallpaper stays after a battery pull. I have it set to a picture that is on the media card.
My battery door is not loose - guess I got lucky on that one. :P

This is a problem. I am not sure I am going to keep the phone. Sometimes I am in simple areas and my device reverts to SOS.

Is your device signal fluctuating?

No problem here. Fluctuates a little bit in the back rooms, but still good.

Bought my girlfriend a Tour Thursday, I'm still trying to help her get things set up on it. I'm having to learn a few things myself along the way! I don't like the way the browser displays a web page. I have tried to change the setting so that I can see it better, I tried mobile view and its still tiny, with the magnifying glass over it. I don't want the over view, is there a way tyo change that, or is she stuck with it?
