Red face Need help with unlocked Blackberry Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

Bought an unlocked Blackberry Pearl and having trouble figuring out how to switch the Verizon services from 7130e to the 8100 Pearl. Possible?

You need a sim card from At&t or T-Mobile and data plan.

That's really the sort of question you should have asked before buying the Pearl.

No Verizon does not use sim cards. The pearl works on a gsm network and verizon is cdma.

Ooops. You should think of switching carriers or putting your Pearl on eBay.

I actually called Verizon before I bought the Pearl to see if they were GSM, and whoever I talked to said yes. I would have never bought it if it were not for this person. Apparently they did not have a clue. Thanks

Unfortunately most csr don't have a clue. Just try and resell it. The person you spoke probably tuned out after the words "blackbery" and "gsm" and automatically assumed your were asking about the 8830 which is a gsm/cdma hybrid
