Default AOL mail users?

Saying that I'm not a fan of AOL mail is a bit of an understatement, okay it's a huge one. Nonetheless I have an AOL account I use for several of my clients and for the moment I have no way around it.

Do any of you use it on your BlackBerry? Push is out of the question since AOL offers virtually nothing for free. I tried using POP/IMAP back when I had a WM device, but that didn't work out since it quickly deleted everything from my webmail inbox.

Anyway, just wondering if any one has a good work around. A mobile webmail site? An AOL mobile app I might have missed?

Thanks

In other words, you don't have a BIS Data Plan with your carrier?

Wait, what? Yes I do.

I'm guessing you're figuring I should just "webmail it" with my BB browser? If you have an AOL account try doing it, even in IE emulation mode, it's a nightmare, and takes AGES if you are lucky enough to get it to load at all.

Just set it up as a normal BIS account. You can have up to 10 email addresses on your BIS account with TMo. You are already paying for it.

It will be push email just like any other on your BB. I read in your first statement that you didn't want push for whatever reason. But that is what you need.
Here: How to add / delete email addresses - BlackBerryFAQ

I'm not figuring you should webmail, that would be a royal pain. Just do it the normal way, to your Messages folder.

Thanks JSanders. Push is numero uno for me... I think I miss understood the concept slightly and thought it had to be something the email provider had to offer on their end.

Problem solved.

Do a search on AOL mail. I have seen quite a few posts from people having problems with it. I remember a couple years ago, you couldn't even do it via BIS or the web. You could always go to a gmail or Yahoo account.

about three years ago it was difficult, now it is easy as pie (or pi).

I have several friends stuck on AOL who get it on their BB with no issue.

AOL mail works but it's not instant push.
