I have a user who currently does not use our BES server. He simply cradle-syncs to get his GWise (Intellisync) and also syncs a project management software between his device and PC.
He's interested in getting a Blackberry on our BES but wants to somehow be able to continue syncing the projects mgmt software between the device and the PC. I guess he's open to another proj mgmt software if he had to switch to something that will run on the BB device. My question is, is it even possible to sync to the desktop for the proj software when he's using the BES/GroupWise wireless device? If it is possible, would an Admin even want this scenario because it could be a support nightmare?

This is possible. Just install the Desktop Manager and specify that you are using a BlackBerry Enterprise Server - it is the top option, I believe.

When the mail and PIM databases are set to sync wirelessly, they cannot be synchronized with the Desktop Manager.

I am in a similar position. I am on a hosted BES (mail2web) and would like to sync with my desktop at work (our company does not have a BES, we use GroupWise 6.5)

I want to be able to sync my corporate calendar & contacts with my hosted BES calendar and contacts.

Can this be done? Or could you suggest another way that this could work?
