Default 5.0.2.28 to latest upgrade...

Hi Guys

I've had a search around the forums but couldnt find the exact answer I was looking for so hoping someone can help

Last year we upgraded from BES 4 to 5 and this worked really well, we coincided it to upgrade within the same month as we upgraded our exchange to 2010 from 2003.

The following few months everything worked really well, noticed enterprise activation was 100 times faster and also emails to and from BB's were delivering quicker than they were arriving at users Outlook - something everyone was really happy about.

We are now a year down the line, and not in a great place - activation takes a number of hours, sometimes failing completely and delays on emails to BB's is sometimes in excess of an hour both directions.

Admittedly we have neglected our BES server for a number of months now, no patches or updates have been installed on the server, and we are now at a point where I need to sort this.

The first thing I am looking at is obviously updating the software, we are running BES 5.0.2.28 on Server 2008 R2, with SQL Server 2005.

From what I can see we can bring this up to 5.0.3 MR6 - my question is how easy is this to do, and how do I do it? Is it just a case of going onto the Blackberry Software Downloads and downloading the servicepacks and installing? If so can someone also tell me how to figure out which patch I need to start at ? Would installing the patches incurr a lot of downtime ?

Many Thanks in Advance

Hello. Your upgrade to 5.0.3mr6 would only require you downloading service pack 3. Then downloading MR6. Run the installation files for sp3 first then MR6. Done. Based on the fact you guys have delays for 2010 you may need to complete all the steps on kb22601 on your Exchange server.
