Default Why BlackBerry PlayBook May Be "Totally Useless for Enterprise"

What Were They Thinking.....CIO Article....

I haven't seen this posted here and I think it is pretty amazing considering I was expecting this Playbook to be directed at BES users....I am not a super tech guy, but it sure seems to be a flaw that will concern Admins.

Hmmm.

Quote:
The BlackBerry Bridge currently provides secure access to corporate mail, calendar, contacts and tasks, but it doesn't offer a secure channel back to BES MDS without Wi-Fi and a VPN
So tethering to BB via BT and using an internal URL for intranet, SSL logon will NOT allow these corporate apps to display?! If these MDS apps are coded for BB then yet they will NOT work on PlayBook.

I'm sure RIM is working on a solution. Either way calling the PlayBook 'USELESS' for CIO's is asinine as there maybe a solution down the road and the competition with competing platforms will NOT do this AT ALL.

So developers have another incentive to make apps for PlayBook and have to work with RIM to get a BB+BT tethering into the firewall, into intranet and then connect to the db content for working relationship.
