Will this battery be compatible with the 8100 or no? I can't remember if the 8130's and 8100's batteries are compatible.

I don't know if a 8130 will work on a 8100 but I know a 8100 will NOT work on a 8130.

THis battery can only be used for BB8130 (Verizon, sprint and Telus). No new door is needed.

This is excellent news! I was hoping to hear from you guys soon.

I would imagine your battery is a little bit thicker than the OEM 8130 battery. Does this mean that it may eliminate our loose backplate problem in addition to providing us great battery support?

What size, in mAh, is Seidio shooting for? 1100? 1050?

Count me in for 1, I just got my Sprint Pearl today and although battery life seems ok doesn't compare with that of the Touch with the Seidio 1500mah extended battery!

I'd love to get an extended battery to replace this poor excuse of a pearl battery that I have.

2 hours of talking depletes a full charge, the whole day I feel like im getting ripped off because my cell only operates 2 out of 24 hours.....

I'm in! I'm tired of having to juice this thing up several times a day!

I would also be interested in a big extra capacity battery like I think you did for the older 8100. Make a nice rubberized door for it and that would be great!

Didn't you make a 2400 sized battery for the 8100? The CDMA BB's burn through the battery faster then the GSM ones do, how about one like that?

I really want an extended life battery that will fit in the stock housing - I'm much more interested in a battery that will work w/my existing Pearl body/case, etc., and not feel bulky in my pocket. I will definitely buy that. A battery that requires a different back, cases, and makes the Pearl bulkier would be of less interest to me.

I guess what I'm saying is, for me, stock sized enhanced battery - Must! Larger sized battery - not so much.

I'd like to see both made, but if I could only choose one, I'd take the battery that fit in the OEM battery door.

They make a 2400 mAh battery/door for the 8100 (OEM is 900). It's a lot thicker so OEM cases/holsters won't work. They make a 1250 mAh battery/door too (I have it-lasts me 4 days on the average). It's just a little thicker so skins, BSE, holsters are no problem, but thin snapon cases won't fit. I wager this new one for the 8130 will be less mAh than the 1250 version, but it's nice that it fits in the case.

This is a shot in the dark but what about a 7130e battery for a pearl. It fits its a little thicker which is good so the battery door doesnt slide around. This is a thought. Dont know if it would work. But i am in aon the seidio battery i just orderd there holster as well.
