Hi,

As per the title 'Database server not found. Verify the provided information' I'm having trouble with the install of the BES Server. I've been reading a lot of forums and i've an idea what the problem is but just need some info confirmed.

I'm running SQL 2005 and when i check the services I see None of the installed MSDE instances have the default name. I see 2 mssql services with MSSQL$<instance_name> instance in the Windows Services list, but no MSSQL service. I do have a SQL Server(name) service running

All solutions seem to tell me to install the MSDE but all I can see is a 2000 version. I'm running SBS2003 with exchange 2003. Is there a MSDE for 2005? Sorry if this sounds daft but I'm not great with SQL.

This caught me out when i first installed and my solution was was to use

<PC-Name>\SQLInstance
