Default My own number: unknown

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,

I have been searching like crazy since yesterday in my bold for this info.

When I press the green phone key the contact menu opens and you can see who called you or who did you call. At the top of that list you will see “My own number: unknown”

Does my number needs to appear there? If yes, how do I go about to put it there?

I looked in option, advance options on forums… or I can’t search correctly

Help?

Options > Advanced > SIM Card > Menu > Edit SIM Phone number, and make sure your number is there.

Thank you for your info. When I inserted my mobile number and pressed enter, I received a message telling me that my phone has been registered to the wireless network.

I got this from blackberry.

What is this all about, can someone explain this to me?

Any advantages or disadvantages?

if its a new sim, sometimes for whatever reason even though att associates that sim with your number, the number never gets written to the sim. changing your number on the sim like you did above fixes that, just make sure you can access your vm as well because usually when that happens the vm number doesnt get written either. if you dial voice mail and it doesnt work you'll have to call att and ask for the vm access number.
